At Paul Alexander Landscape we are known for our innovative approach to residential landscape projects, delivering highly responsive design outcomes that are sensitive to both site and context.

We understand that each project and client is unique and each of our designs respond minutely to our clients’ needs and requirements.
​
Our focus is to recreate connection to the outdoors and the natural landscape, with a balance between the built form and the natural.

After graduating a Design degree with Honors from RMIT University in Melbourne,
Paul draws on his 15 years of varied design and construction industry experience to provide refined, considered and aesthetic design solutions.
APPROACH
Design Consultation
​
Our initial consultations are a great opportunity to get to know our clients and enable us to gain a comprehensive understanding of your lifestyle.
​
We prefer to start the creative dialog off where it all ends, on site. This helps us to gain a real sense of place and identify possibilities. (Should a site consultation not be feasible, virtual consults are available)
​
During this initial consultation we will discuss all aspects of the project, listen to your thoughts and ideas, provide our professional advice and make some suggestions you may not have considered.
​
We will provide a detailed explanation of our process and give advice on timeframes and discuss budgets.
​
Following the consultation you will receive a design brief that details the agreed scope of the project.
Concept Design
​
We will consolidate the approved design brief and begin developing a highly detailed and realistic 3D Concept. The benefit of this high level of detail at an early stage is you get a real understanding of the ideas and how they will come to life.
​
Once completed the concept will be presented with a high resolution video, 3D perspective imagery and a scale plan.
​
Minor adjustments to the design will be made where necessary to completely tailor the design to ensure the perfect outcome.
Design documentation
​
Following the completion of the Concept design, this stage includes the detailing required to facilitate the quotation and subsequent construction/installation of your landscape project.
​
The concept design will be translated into a detailed set of drawings including all hardscape, lighting and comprehensive planting plans and list all levels, finishes, details, methods and dimensions for all outdoor elements.
​
We also will provide advice for any engineering requirements and information relating to planning and building applications if applicable.
Construction
​
Once the design stages are complete, we will help you to acquire construction quotes and make suggestions for recommended and trusted construction contractors. We also provide a service to liaise throughout the construction process to ensure the design intent and integrity is maintained until the final product is delivered.
